Painting Sound is a UK abstract expressionist artist, working in acrylic on canvas for decades. The work is shaped by music, street culture and the materials of industry, and draws on Klee, Kandinsky, Rothko, Basquiat, Keith Haring, street art and 80s graffiti. Sharp directional linework, built through months of accumulated mark-making. Each canvas is a sustained physical object before it becomes anything else.
Original paintings are made at scale, supplied framed and ready to hang, for private collectors and for interiors, hotels, restaurants and public spaces. Commissions are considered.
Each work is painted in the round and may be hung any of four ways; it is stamped and signed on the back.
